Jane Rebellious

Jane Rebellious, 2 coats with SV. I have worn this so much over the years it's down to a third bottle! It is a pinkish purpley color with bits of pink and gold shimmer. It doesn't really show on the nail much because the foily finish takes over. I also bought this years ago with my other Jane polish I showed you recently. I have 1 more color, but I can't find it! Time to start digging lol.

I'm still so behind on everything, it feels like I will never catch up aaah. I still have reviews of Revlon lashes and press on nails, and Migi nail art pens coming up.

Oh I had a nail cutting mishap the other day, I used clippers instead of filing it down. I have dry brittle nails so whatever I didn't clip, the rest of my nail would snap apart in a downward angle. I didn't plan on going this short but in order to make up for the angled side I had to file it down a lot. I also took this opportunity to try a new nail shape, I guess it's squoval. I always shape it straight across with corners so we'll see if this will last.

OPI DS Fantasy

1 coat of DS Fantasy with no topcoat. I love the dark azure with holo sprinkles, perfect. Have a good day!

Lancôme La Collection Lollipop

Hi everyone, hope your week is going well so far!

Lancôme has sent me their recently released Lollipop collection to share with you. They have created these candy themed sets to help raise funds for the Lollipop Theater Network. They are a nonprofit dedicated to bringing the magic of movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals nationwide due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses.

Each set is limited edition and comes in 3 shades, Ma Cherie Cherry, Mademoiselle Grape and Bon Bon Strawberry and includes a Color Fever Gloss and a Le Vernis nail polish.

The lip gloss and nail polish comes with a soft black satchel with the Lancôme rose on it.

Ma Cherie Cherry, 3 coats and no topcoat. This is a bright red jelly, it reminds me of a maraschino cherry that comes on top of a sundae! There is a hint of VNL with 3 coats. This one is my favorite, you guys know how much I love reds!

The brushes are slightly wide and very soft, which spread out on my nail and I was able to paint my smaller nails in just 1 swipe. The formula on this was thin, which was perfect for this glossy finish.

First of all, I just have to say that I have never taken lip swatches before, this was a difficult task for me so please excuse the quality.

My very first impression about this gloss is, it's not sticky! I buy lipglosses like they are going out of style and getting a sticky one is just the worst. This feels nice and smooth on my lips. It is also very lighty scented of roses.

Next up is Mademoiselle Grape which is a reddish purple creme, this is 2 coats with Seche Vite. This was a little too thick for me so after my first coat I added a few drops of thinner and my second coat applied fine.

I enjoyed this color very much, and I wore it for 4 days. Here is the day 4 picture, there is hardly any tipwear and not a single chip.

Bon Bon Strawberry, 3 coats with Seche Vite. A bright pink creme.

I love the Lancôme rose, and thought it was a shame I covered it up with my finger so I used silver metallic acrylic paint and drew my own in. My lamplight kept making a glare on my rose so I had to throw in a flash picture!

This lip gloss is my favorite, it's a creamy pale pink. The other 2 are very pigmented and this one is more on the sheer side.

The sets sell for $35 each and $5 of every sale will go to the Lollipop Theater Network. You can purchase these at Nordstroms now, and it should be available next month at the Lancôme website.

Color Club Blue Light

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I am several days behind on leaving comments and returning them, I hope to catch up by the end of the week. On to the polish!

Blue Light indoors, 3 coats with SV. This is another polish I bought from Grace, I'm glad I did because I got several compliments wearing this at work which almost never happens. This is a very light blue creme that really made my hands pop, love it.

The winner!

Sorry about the delay I'm literally running out the door so here is the picture:

Grats to Austrian_babe! I will send you an email tomorrow for your shipping info. Sorry about the quick post but I'm leaving the house now, have a great weekend everyone!

The giveaway is over!

Thanks for everyone who entered, I will be drawing a name out of a hat sometime tomorrow and announce the winner. Good luck!

China Glaze Shower Together

Indoors, 3 Coats with SV. Shower Together is a blue-green creme, I really like this color. I have been leaving my pink and red comfort zone lately and I want more! This was kind of watery but after the third coat it came together perfectly.

What else did I buy from Grace? Lol all blues! Oh and a mint green. She also kindly gave me my first NYX polish and a holo franken! Thank you again Grace!

Maybelline Mattes

All the colors shown are 2 coats. They all have a satiny finish. I bought these Maybelline matte shades last year at a Dollar Tree, I don't even like matte nail polish but I guess I couldn't resist the lure of $1 bottles!

Matte Olive is an olive green and has a nice golden shimmer to it. I did manage to wear this for a day before it came off.

Matte Grape is kind of a muted purple with a little shimmer.

I had to see what it looked like with China Glaze Glacier over it. Not bad!

Matte Sapphire is a dark navy blue with tiny silver glitter pieces. I'm probably alone here but I hated this one! This explains why when I was at Sallys I actually kept going back and forth taking Matte Magic out of the little tub and putting it back a few times lol.

I put a coat of Seche Vite over this and now I like it! I don't know why I dislike mattes on me, it almost feels like I have dirty fingernails or something. It just irritates me. Oh well, I might go back for that matte topcoat so I can make fun designs with it if anything.

Green Franken

This is my first franken that I created back in February. I don't remember the formula but it was mostly black creme with some clear polish to give it the jelly base and a tiny thing of EDM pigment. The green pigment was a sample I received and I have no idea what it's called! This somewhat resembles HC Envy but I think my green shimmer is more bright. I am wearing 2 coats with Seche Vite.

I call this one: Facet Emerald, You're Just Green!

I bought some polishes from Grace over at The Kitchen, the Closet and the Laboratory she is selling polishes and still has some left! I will show you guys what I bought next post. :)

This is one coat of China Glaze Wireless Holographic Top Coat over Facet Emerald, You're Just Green! Ooooh! I can tell this TC and I are going to be good friends.

Here it is with 2 coats. I love it! It dries fast and turned my franken into a blingtastic yum yums.

Jane Hot Blooded

Indoors, 3 coats with Seche Vite. Blood red? Jelly? Sign me up! It is way more bloody and intense in person (so gruesome, can I even say this?), the name suits the color for sure!

Am I the only one that has several bottles of SV in its varying stages of demise? I sure do love using a fresh bottle! I need to invest in some Seche Restore.

Cotton Candy

For my breast cancer awareness mani I used China Glaze White Ice and Loreal Trust Fund Baby to make this marbled design. Any water marbling attempts by me = epic failure so I used the same method as my last marbled mani. I just put drops a few drops of each color on my nail (plain only with basecoat) and swirled them together using a dotting tool. You could also use a toothpick or anything small. Sorry my pictures are so dark but it was too late when I realized they all came out bad!

Lippmann Funky Chunky

This is why I don't get fashion sometimes. I consider myself pretty open-minded and am willing to try anything once. Since I've seen plenty of pictures with 3 neatly done coats before I decided to try Funky Chunky all messed up. I did a super streaky first coat leaving bare nail in some places, but sadly it mostly got covered up the second coat and just tried to be sloppy in general. Then I rolled my fingers on them while they were still tacky like I was getting booked into jail, it made the shiny finish all dull and fingerprinty!

So I really hated that look and put a coat of SV over it, which made it shiny again but you could barely see fingerprint anymore. So I took my cuticle pusher tool and rolled it over my nails and gave them... what does this look like, skid marks? Oh wait, AWFUL.

I could have tried other ways to be more fashionable with the messy mani but uh, I like my nails pretty and tidy. On my right hand I tried 3 normal coats and I just can't wrap my head around the idea of this polish.

2 outta 3 ain't bad, indeed.

Lippmann Superstar

Indoors, 2 coats with a coat of Seche Vite. Superstar is very densely packed copper glitter in a dark brown base. It almost makes the base look black. I think my second coat was too thick and overkill you can see the lumpy texture on my nails. This drives me crazy since I have to have smooth and shiny nails! All that aside, I do like the glitter and coverage of this polish.

Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers

Indoors, 3 coats with a coat of Seche Vite. Chunks of red hex and small glitter swimming in a black base. It is so eye-pleasing with it's bright red sparkly glitter, a stunner. Oh heck I don't even care now that I had to buy Funky Chunky to get this! Speaking of Funky Chunky, what to do with it? Maybe a french tip?

Hard Candy Envy

Envy 2 coats with Seche Vite. This is a blackened dark forest green shimmer. The first coat was super sheer but the second made it completely opaque. I had difficulties photographing the deep green shimmer. This picture does not do this color any justice!

Didn't do much better here but I at least got a good bottle shot. I think this is a fantastic color, I felt happier as I was painting each nail!

This and Mr. Wrong were the only 2 that caught my eye, do you have any must-haves from Hard Candy?

Hard Candy Mr. Wrong

Indoors, 3 coats with Seche Vite. Mr. Wrong is so shiny! It is a dusty purple with a great golden shimmer. It makes your nails look metallic.

I had to try the ring on, it's cute! It was too big for my other fingers.

Here is a flash picture, it shows the purple color a little better. This color is in my giveaway, in case you haven't seen it swatched yet. Don't worry this is my own bottle :)

China Glaze Atlantis

Outdoors, 3 coats with 3 (I know you're cringing at this) coats of Seche Vite. It was so bumpy it drove me crazy I had to keep putting it on! In person this looked very opaque with no VNL, but all my pictures showed it and looked sheer. Well anyway I'm late showing you this but Atlantis is a sea-colored base with tons of small holographic glitter! I really do think this looks much better in person than I can show you here.
