EDIT: I'm all sold out this time, thank you again everyone for your support! I have more bottles on the way already so I will be doing this again soon.

An update and the next sale
Hi guys, ever since the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan I just haven't been painting my nails. It just seemed so pointless and unimportant. I did finally paint them red last week for a family dinner, and I had a great time.
I know some of you have been asking if I have family in Japan. All my relatives do live there but I don't know them at all I've been living in the States for most of my life. It's complicated. I also have no way of contacting them, while I am fluent in Japanese I cannot read it so the address book my father left me is useless at the moment. I will try to have someone read it for me. The one person who I do know and has kept in touch is my grandmother, but I can't get in contact with her. The phone number I have is now a wrong number. I'm at a loss to what to do, but I will figure something out.
So about the next sale, I ordered some mini bottles from TKB trading and I will be selling 3-piece mini sets of my most requested shades. 100% of this I will donating to charity, most likely the Japanese Red Cross. After those are gone I will be back to selling full sized .5 oz bottles and will continue to donate a portion of the proceeds.
The mini bottle trio sale will be posted this Wednesday March 30th at 5 P.M. Pacific and will include Strawberry, Twenty Ten and Cookies and Cream. The bottles are a bit smaller than standard mini size at 5 ml or .17 oz.
I will be trying a paypal checkout cart this time I hope it works. Hope to see you back here on Wednesday evening :)
Milani Liquid Metal Review and Swatches
I have a couple of Milani Liquid Metal shades to review today. Drugstore nail polishes have really set the bar high lately. They keep up with current trends and I think they are great in quality and most are moderately priced (coughcough SH). My favorite brands are Wet n Wild, Milani, Revlon and Sally Hansen. I love swooping in when they are BOGOF or 50% off! Ok enough rambling.
Paint the Town Red 2 coats no topcoat. Warm shimmery/metallic red. These were hard to photograph they are so metallic! This one was very opaque I could almost get away with just 1 coat. It does have a lovely shimmer although not as obvious as you see on the bottle. The formula was quite thin but still easy to apply. It did not leave brushstrokes.
Good Morning Sunshine, 3 coats with SV topcoat. This color makes me think of old gold, or something antique. Unlike Paint the Town Red above this was very sheer and needed 3 coats, possibly could have used a 4th for full opacity. The formula was the same, very thin but still not difficult to apply. This one I believe was a little brushstroke-y but the metallic finish is very forgiving. I think this shade is pretty, although it's not right for my skintone.
These retail for $4.49 at all major drugstores. I always go to my local CVS for Milani they seem to stock them a lot.
These were sent to me for review.
Thank you!
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that made an order and to all of you who sent me kind messages and left comments. I sold out on everything except the 2 non-glittery experimental ones lol. Well at least I know what you guys want, more glitter!
I've gotten a lot of emails asking if I will sell again. I will be selling another batch as soon as I can find some bottles. I want to try a new bottle so I will be looking around. If you know of a place that sells some decent bottles please let me know!
I would also like to hear what you would like to see for sale again. If you could leave me a comment or send an email what shades you want back that would help me in gathering my materials. Thank you so much!
I hate posting without pictures so I leave you with my current notd, Strawberry Fields by China Glaze. I chose that color to cheer myself up for having to chop everything off because I ripped a nail right at the quick. :D
The Frankenpolish Sale! (Time to order)
I will be reading emails in the order I receive them. Please send your emails with the subject: Polish Order to TheHungryAsian@gmail.com I won't take your order unless you send your email there, no exceptions! If you order more than 4 polishes (up to 7 or so? I will let you know) you must get Priority Shipping (small flat rate box @ $5.20). United States orders only this time, sorry. Here is the email instructions:
- Your full name
- Your Pay Pal email address (Please make sure your paypal mailing address is correct I am not responsible for packages sent to an old address!)
- The names of the polishes you wish to purchase (only 1 each per shade please). I cannot send you an order with multiple quantities of 1 color because I would like to give as many people as possible an opportunity to get a polish. Most polishes I will only have 2 of, some shades I will only have 1! Please be kind and share the love this is a very small batch :D
- Custom orders: I will only take 3 custom orders this time. If you would like to add a custom polish to your order please describe what you envision for it. What kind of finish is it? Is there glitter? What colors do you see in it? Or you could leave the details up to me if you are brave enough :) I cannot guarantee any custom orders it really depends on what you want and what supplies I have. I will email you back to work out the details of your custom order if I can make it. Otherwise I will just invoice you for your normal order. Only 1 custom order per person please. It may take up to 5 days to make a custom polish so it will delay your entire order until the custom is ready.
I will try to keep this page updated with the available quantities but I won't be able to invoice you until after 9PM pacific tonight. So if you go to bed before then I'm sorry in advance :)
Happy shopping! Polish name is in BOLD
Olive Me $3.75 (1 available) - This is a frosty, light olive green. It has a silvery shimmer. 2 coats shown with topcoat.
This is meant to be a layering topcoat, but can be worn alone like shown above 2 coats with topcoat. On the nail wheel is 1 coat over black creme.
N
Tealdrop $4.50 (1 available) - Shimmery teal with sparse superfine salmon glitter. 2 coats shown no topcoat.

Yay you made it to the end, thank you all for enjoying my frankens with me. I hope in the near future that shopping will be much easier and accessible for everyone (international and non-Pay Pal users).
Getting ready for The Sale! (Ordering instructions)
If this sale goes well I may try to set up some kind of a shopping cart for easy ordering next time, thanks for putting up with me :)
Here are the instructions for ordering tomorrow:
Please send an email to TheHungryAsian@gmail.com with the subject line Polish Order.
In your email please include the following:
- Your full name
- Your Pay Pal email address (Please make sure your paypal mailing address is correct!)

It may take up to 5 days to make a custom polish so it will delay your entire order until the custom is ready.
This batch of bottles came from Transdesign, the brushes are not of the best quality they are thin so please do note this beforehand so you are not surprised once you get your polish. I am trying to find some better quality bottles and brushes for you! Also I do not shake my frankens with the cap on, I mix it so that there is no polish all caked up in the neck. You probably don't even need to shake it once you get it so try it out first :) I hope they travel well.
I got the balls from ebay, stainless steel so you don't have to worry about corrosion.
I'm very new to selling anything so please bear with me while I learn.
Okay next topic is the duds. Jackie from Candy coated tips said one man's duds is another man's treasure. Here are a couple sample duds:
It gets more blue as you go left.
I really wanted to make Up In The Air. The fine glitter looks lumpy on my nail wheel, I didn't try it on my nails so I dunno yet but I'm feelin it as a dud. So then I got the idea to make a pink version of it. I think it's pretty but the formula is super thin (glitter settles) because I wanted the sheer jelly finish. Then I made a thicker version of the pink and the creme covered the hex glitter lol. I might keep working on the pink but I have given up on the up in the air version. I was going to call it, Up Where?! Anyone have any suggestions what I should do with the duds?
I hope this helps with ordering tomorrow, if you have any questions beforehand leave a comment or send me an email.
The Sale Update
Thank you for all the feedback and comments, I've decided to set a specific time I hope it suits everyone! I will make the sale post at 6:00 PM Pacific this Sunday March 6th.
To make ordering easier I will post again tomorrow to let you know what you need to include in your email.
Have a nice night!
Frankenpolish Sale Preview
I have a very small supply of bottles (25 to be exact) so most of the frankens will be one or two of a kind temporarily. I don't know if anyone will even buy one but we shall see! I have others that I'm still working on, and some were total duds do you guys want to see the duds too? I tried to make Up In The Air by Deborah Lippmann and I was so close but some small glitter killed it.
Now onto the pictures!
Brooke from Getcha Nails Did inspired me for this one! Blue with red glitter, genius :D
That's all the pictures I have for now, I will have around 3 or so other glitters for Sunday.
Here is a little FAQ to cover the basics for now.
When do they go on sale?
I will post the sale this Sunday, would you guys prefer that I post it at a pre-determined time? Let me know in the comments. They will be on a first come, first serve basis.
How much will they cost?
They will cost around $4.00-5.00 each.
How do I pay you?
I will invoice you via Pay Pal.
How much is shipping?
Shipping will be around $3 but if you order more than 3 or 4 you might want to go with the small flat rate box which is something around $5.25.
Do you ship internationally?
Sorry but I can't do international yet, I will in the future!
Are they safe to wear? What do you use?
Most of my frankens have some type of glitter, everything I use is brand new, cosmetics grade and is safe to wear. To keep costs down I use brand new Wet n Wild and NYC polishes as my base unless otherwise stated.
Will you take custom orders?
Yes! If I have any empty bottles and I have the materials I can try to make you a custom mix.
If you have any other questions feel free to leave a comment below.
